September 23, 2019 Meeting

Congratulations to Team Judy. selected at the September 23rd, 2019 meeting.

Team Judy is a group of long time friends who are passionate about raising research dollars for Metastatic Breast Cancer. Team Judy supports seed research grants for metastatic breast cancer at the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota. 100% of donations go to the researchers and their labs.

May 6, 2019 Meeting

Congratulations to Hope Rooted. selected at the May 6th, 2019 meeting.

Hope Rooted provides children with chronic health challenges grants to access functional medicine healthcare testing and treatment.  Their vision is to restore hope and heal the bodies and spirits of chronically ill childrenby helping them find solutions through certified functional medicine practitioners. 

February 12, 2019 Meeting

Congratulations to Wiggle Your Toes, selected at the February 12, 2019 meeting.

The mission of Wiggle Your Toes is to empower those who have lost a limb to move forward, take action and get back to the life they want. The organization provides amputees practical answers, tips and solutions to taking action and moving forward with confidence. 

November 12, 2018 Meeting

Congratulations to Lakeside Academy, MN Teen and Adult Challenge. selected at the November 12, 2018 meeting.

Lakeside Academy is a faith-based residential treatment center for boys aged 13-18 years, who are heading down the wrong path due to substance use, anger management, and other behavioral issues. Set on 48 acres in the Buffalo, MN area, Lakeside Academy offers licensed treatment, mental health and other counseling services, and onsite education including conventional, online, and project based learning – all in a camp environment..  

September 16, 2018 Meeting

Congratulations to TreeHouse. selected at the September 16, 2018 meeting.

The vision of TreeHouse is to reach every at-risk teen so they are loved, feel hope and realize life transformation. To accomplish this vision we seek to fulfill our mission to bring living hope to hurting youth and families leading to life transformation.  

June 4, 2018 Meeting

Congratulations to CornerHouse Children's Advocacy Center. selected at the June 4, 2018 meeting.

Founded in 1989, CornerHouse is an accredited Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) that coordinates multi-disciplinary teams to assist each child and family and offers services that are designed to minimize trauma to child victims of abuse, to provide support and assistance to the entire family, and to hold offenders accountable. CornerHouse listens and offers hope and healing to those silenced by trauma and violence. CornerHouse is also valued as an industry resource; teaching and sharing best practices, observations, and techniques in forensic interviewing.

March 6, 2018 Meeting

Congratulations to Backyard Wishes. selected at the March 6, 2018 meeting.

Backyard Wishes is a 501(c)3 registered non-profit that was formed in 2010 by Laura Cowley.  Backyard Wishes works closely with Waconia School district staff, who help identify families or children in need.   The board of Backyard Wishes reviews requests and assists in a variety of ways.  All donations go directly to serving and supporting the families and children in Waconia schools.  

December 4th, 2017 Meeting

Congratulations to Open Hands Foundation. selected at the September 18th, 2017 meeting.

The Open Hands Foundation creates and supports solutions to solve unmet needs of vulnerable people; provide hope to neighbors; and make a lasting difference in the Twin Cities Southwest Metro Area. The Open Hands Foundation helps to identify the most pressing needs in our community and turns the generosity of friends and neighbors into vibrant and lasting social change. 

September 18th, 2017 Meeting

Congratulations to West Metro Miracle Athletics. selected at the September 18th, 2017 meeting.

The West Metro Miracle League (WMML) is a charitable organization that provides super special children in the west metro, ages 3 – 19, with ANY cognitive and/or physical challenges an opportunity to play baseball. WMML is located and fully integrated in the Bennett Family Ballpark in Minnetonka, MN. Bennett Family Park is the home of seven baseball diamonds that accommodate Tee Ball through Little League and Babe Ruth. It is only fitting that the newest addition to the ballpark is WMML.

June 12th, 2017 Meeting

Congratulations to Joubert Syndrome and Related Disorders Foundation. selected at the June 12th, 2017 meeting.

The Joubert Syndrome & Related Disorders Foundation is an international network of parents who share knowledge, experience, and emotional support. The foundation offers a networking list, newsletter, and a biennial conference.

The Joubert Syndrome & Related Disorders Foundation plays an important role in educating physicians and their support teams as well as increasing public awareness. The Joubert Syndrome & Related Disorders Foundation is a nonprofit organization.

March 6th, 2017 Meeting

Congratulations to National Alliance on Mental Health Minnesota. selected at the March 6th, 2017 meeting.

NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with mental illnesses and their families. NAMI Minnesota offers education, support and advocacy including more than 500 free classes and presentations and over 70 support groups in Minnesotaeach year.  NAMI Minnesota vigorously promotes the development of community mental health programs and services, improved access to services, increased opportunities for recovery, reduced stigma and discrimination, and increased public understanding of mental illness.

December 5th, 2016 Meeting

Congratulations to Humor to Fight the Tumor. selected at the December 5th, 2016 meeting.

Humor to Fight the Tumor is dedicated to funding research and patient services that will improve the lives of brain tumor patients. They do this by raising awareness, providing support and encouragement, and offering uplifting events that provide a sense of community and hope to affected individuals and families. Hope comes in the form of new treatments to fight this disease; a disease that produces devastating effects to a persons’ physical and cognitive abilities.

Inaugural Meeting, September 2016

 

Congratulations to the Sojourner Project, selected at our inaugural meeting.

 

Sojourner provides emergency shelter for women and children; legal advocacy and support to empower all those victimized by domestic violence; and information and education to raise awareness and promote violence prevention. Their programs programs serve more than 1,000 battered women and children each year through their shelter and community-based services.
